"Yellow, Red, Stop!"

Coral snakes are beautiful, but deadly. They have striking red, yellow and black bands for warning that say "Do not disturb me!"

My wife Regina found this fellow on a working day on a farm in central Florida. It slowly came crawling from underneath the house.

I sat down on my knees just a meter from the small snake, and I just let it crawl up close to me.

Luckily these snakes are not aggressive at all. They rather tend to flee away from danger than to bite back.

Coral snakes are among the most venomous snakes in North America. They are not to be messed with.

They have small fangs and need to chew the venom in their prey. They eat small rodents and lizards.

After our encounter with this pretty guy, it turned around and crawled back under the house for safety.
